En Caballo Por Caldas

We went horseback riding today! One of the guys that came from Miami has an uncle that owns a farm in Caldas, a department of Colombia. We met up with the him and he showed us to our horses. As we started our journey, my horse decided it did not want to move. I was so disappointed! Everyone went ahead and my horse decided to eat grass. I was just sitting there in the middle of the street on a horse that was eating grass. Then a dog came out of a house and my horse jumped, a horse that does not move and is scared of little dogs. Just great. A friend came back for me and she gave me a whip. It only took one hit and the horse was up and running! I guess it only needed a jumpstart. Phew! I was getting worried. We rode for about three hours, or at least that is what it felt like. It was awesome! Nearing the end of our journey it started pouring. We rode for another half hour or so in the pouring rain, which made it more fun! We were all soaked but it didn't even matter to any of us. We loved it. We got back to the plaza in Caldas and hung out and danced while we dried up a little before heading back. That same night I was up at 3 am to catch my flight back to Barranquilla.
